Maths Gear was founded by Steve Mould and Matt Parker.

Matt and Steve both do maths shows, and people are always asking where they can buy the stuff from their shows. How disappointing to be told that it's all hand-made and can't be bought! That's why they decided to start making things in bulk and selling them.

Matt and Steve started Maths Gear in 2011. James Grime joined soon after, and continues to feed the website with new ideas for toys like the Grime Dice, Grime Cube and Utilities Mug. The product development team now also includes Katie Steckles and Ayliean MacDonald.

The shop is steadily growing as we add more hard-to-find mathematical curiosities, so if you have any ideas let us know:
